It Happened Yesterday, It Happens Today
DOCUMENTARY | 2002
It Happened Yesterday, It Happened Today is a documentary film about mutual experiences of war, dictatorship and escape. It is not a war movie, but rather an anti-racist film about discrimination. It is based on the mutual experiences of Norwegian war veterans and contemporary refugees in Norway. It is also a movie about people’s ability and will to commit to the struggle against injustice, oppression, and discrimination.
To live in fear and insecurity leaves lasting impressions. Physical and mental pain is a solitary experience. When we experience painful things, it is natural for us to want to forget it. The people we meet in this movie have chosen to remember.
It Happened Yesterday, It Happens Today is based on a project developed and managed by Bente Guro Møller.
